I think Sonette is my favorite character thus far, in terms of design. All the girls are beautiful, no doubt about that, but goshdarn it all to heck, I love her colors so much!! I guess I have a soft spot for the cyan/cream combo, and I believe the classic princess pink compliments those colors very well. It all just looks so appealing to me >w<
I don't think harems are fun, neither with male or female characters. It is lazy writing in my opinion, but they're probably popular for a reason, I just don't understand it. As for the "motherly figure", there will be a couple in this comic, and are probably well "gifted", but nothing like a DDD cup or anything similar. I just don't dig that type of anatomical proportion and are neither good at drawing it :)
well when I see more then 3 female characters I usually pass, same with more then 3 male characters. There has to be a good balance, but then again some comic people add 240 characters that is too many to keep up with at all. you're doing good so far, don't let my despair get you down. This could still turn out like MLP.
And you're in all your right to pass :D I personally pass on several TV shows and books and novels when the subject is not attractive to me. Sometimes they are good, but I wait for someone I trust to tell me if they're good to give them a try. I love reading your comments though, I appreciate having a clear sight on my mistakes and try to adjust based on that. Of course I'd defend what I believe is right in my creations, but I'm more open to adjust my point of view than you'd think. And don't worry, I have more than enough despair on my own for both of us XD
