Title stolen from a song on Zoos of Berlin's new album, Taxis X3 its basically been all that I've been listening to for the past day or two.
Ironically, I had thought up the idea before using the songs name as a title. it hadn't even occured to me XD When I decided that I would just use one of their songs for the title (as I am lazy and don't like thinking up titles) I had actually planned on using a different song for it XD Then century rail came on and I felt stupid ._.
annnnnyyyyyway. This is one of the rare times you've seen a non-fox/wolf/genericcanine anthro from me! :D you must feel so special! I came up with this guy when doodling stuff, drawing animals you don't usually see as anthros. This guy was, like, the second one I did and I liked him enough that it completely distracted me from drawing more XD
oh. right. He's a binturong :P they smell like popcorn. His name is Lazuli. Laz, Lazi, or Lazlo for short X3

just to openly critique i would say that the shadows are off and it's throwing my eye away from the subject. I also think that on his face the fur has the same drawing technique as the shadows and i think i bit more shadows and highlights would match his clothes better. I like the composition a lot. Also i think if you used a straight edge for the bars and vertical lines, he would pop much nicer as well as making the environment look more realistic and bold.
hmmmm I shall address your complaints one by one
-I suppose the shadows are slightly off in some small places, but I did it that way for a reason. I have them like that to give the image more depth and to make it more interesting....but if you mean the ones by the door, then yes. I kinda got carried away there XD
- Binturongs have different color fur on their face than the rest of their body. look up a picture and you'll see what I mean. The lack of highlight on his fur isn't because I just forgot to put them in. It's because binturong's don't have very smooth fur ._. its rather coarse and would therfore be less reflective.
-I actually did use a straight edge when sketching it. but I neglected to use it when inking because straight edges are a pain in the ass to use. Were the peice larger (including the border its only 6in by 8in) I would be more inclined to using it but this peice was mostly just an excuse to draw my new character so I didn't care X3 ....and I hate doing perspective drawings anyway XD

lol I knew someone would bring that up. I inked this late last night and upon looking at it this morning I almost shat my pants realizing I had done that XDD but there wasn't much I could do at that point so I just went with it :/
I suppose considering that loose is synonymous with relaxed, I could try passing it of as a play on words if I really felt it necessary XD

they aren't complaints they are constructive criticisms* and i still get distracted by the contrasting shadows in the clothes w/ lack of any in his face (his clothes make him look back lit, where his face is a single shade)

._. right. that. my excuse for that is pretty much the same as the one for the door XD I got carried away. I enjoy shading clothes like that it was too far gone before I realized that it wouldn't actually show that much shadow XD You've seen how much I like doing black and white stuff! you should know that I like high contrast XDD
