Mermay has been all the rage among artists during this month, so I decided to join the bandwagon, but not without cheating a little. Nat is my mermaid for the occasion, and as someone designed as half human, half aquatic creature, it's not hard for her to fit the bill. To reinforce the idea, I included the surfboard to convey the image of a "fish tail" through composition. :)

Amazingly, it didn't take that long. The background must have taken me about 3 hours, and Nat doesn't have a complex design here. The following piece with the N7 armor took me much longer, since armor always has so much detail on shape, shading and highlighting.
