Seems kind of expensive...it's not like you can find it in elemental form much... (And don't say you're electrolyzing it from water or using a reformer...that's kind of inefficient. You'd be putting more power into producing fuel than you got out of it.) *ahem* Okay, okay, I'm being nitpicky, but yeah, that's how it works.
What year is it supposed to be? If it's around the present day, it's probably coal or natural gas, maybe even waste-to-energy (trash burner.) This probably isn't a great place for solar or geothermal (the former takes a lot of sunny days and open space, the latter requires some geological activity.)
