Centuarian Defensive Army Armored Division Layout
Note this chart is not the full layout but gives a general overview of a standard AD Layout.
The CDA's Armored Divisions are large mass organizations of troops, supplies, and vehicles and are made of 4 primary main parts...
Battalion
Company
Platoon
Vehicle
The Battalion is the largest subsection of the Division and each are tasked with special purposes. Each Division is divided up into 7 Battalions, 4 of which are tasked with frontline combat, with 3 supporting Battalions.
Combat
Tank
Mechanized Infantry
Artillery
Anti-Aircraft/ Air Defense
Support
Engineers
Maintenance
Medical
Each Battalion is divided into 5 Companies with each Company having a Head Quarters Section and 5 Platoons of 10 Special Purpose Vehicles for the combat Battalions, these being either an MBT-82 (Tank), SPAA-82 (Anti-Air), HGC-82 (Artillery), or an ISAV-82 (Mech. Infantry). The Company Headquarters is armed with 10 of each (excluding HGMC-82) for defense and 100 GPV’s (General Purpose Vehicles).
The next level is the Platoon. Each is task with more specific purposes such as attacking and defending positions, destroying targets, capturing areas, etc. The tank platoons are given 10 supporting infantry per vehicle (100 Infantry total). However these are NOT Mechanized Infantry and are simply support for the tanks. The Artillery and Anti-Aircraft platoons are not given infantry as they are farther back in the rear closer to the HQ of the company though are sometimes attached to the tanks for support.
There are 13 types of vehicles in a division each with a 2 letter acronym for quick identification and are put in front of a 5 digit number sequence that identifies the vehicle. These are arranged in Division, Battalion, Company, Platoon, and Vehicle, so a vehicle with TK-7-2-1-3-X would be a MBT-82 from the 7th AD's 2nd Battalion, 1st Company, 3rd Platoon, and would be the 10th Vehicle in the Platoon. For HQ Vehicles the letter "H" is placed where it's numerical counter part would be. So if that same tank was in the Company's HQ it would change to TK-7-2-H-3-X. The letter "X" is representative of 10 and is used so it stays a single digit and doesn't cause confusion. All vehicles have some sort of identification number except GPs, STs, and LTs, each type of vehicle has a 2 letter ID marker and as follows.
TK: Tank
AA: Self Propelled Anti-Air
GC: Heavy/ Howitzer Gun Carriage/ Carrier
IS: Infantry Support Armored Vehicle
GP: General Purpose Vehicle
ST: Supply Truck
AM: Ambulance
HE: Heavy Engineer Vehicle
LE: Light Engineer Vehicle
BL: Bridge Layer
MS: Minesweeper
RV: Recovery Vehicle
LT: Light Truck
The ID numbers are written out in full usually on the fenders and the last 3 digits are painted on the sides and back of the turrets on turreted vehicles and are used for quick identification of friendly units.
Vehicle ID/ Turret Number Examples:
TK-7-2-1-3-4 (Tank, 7D, 2B, 1C, 3P, 4V) #134
TK-7-2-1-3H-L (Tank, 7D, 2B, 1HQ, LeadV) #1HL
GP-3-1-5-3-5 (GPV, 3D, 1B, 5C, 3P, 5V) # N/A (Note that Supply & Light Trucks, GPs, and Ambulances do not receive ID numbers)
IS-1-3-4-2-8 (ISAV, 1D, 3B, 4C, 2P, 8V) #428
TK-1T-5-3-1-8 (Tank, 1TrainingD, 5B, 3C, 1P, 8V) #318 “Tiger 318”
GC-2-5-4-1-X* (HGMC, 2D, 5B, 4C, 1P, XV) #41X
