But the reason frost could remember was the ring, Ciel said once it was taken off he would forget him and if anything he would be like a myth. And cinder lost his cherry so I presume he will forget him too, like all none virgins.

It's probably an effect that takes place over time such is the case with memories. When Frost took the ring off to shower he still rememberd who Ciel was but couldn't remember what he looked like.

he did say it'd take about a week to fully forget. I thought there was a timeskip between issue 1 and 2, maybe that was incorrect

There wasn't a timeskip between chapters, but yeah they will eventually forget who/what he was. Whatever memories Frost retains will just be of a generic horse who took his virginity and left. The whole 'unicorn/magic' side of things won't occur to them. :)

Since Cinder acted like such a tough guy for so much of the first episode of the comic, it makes his nervous, sweet, and shy expressions all that much more precious. That last panel on each line are both such adorable faces.
