I recommend Eureka 7 if you're into robots and mechs. I feel like it deals with some of the same themes as Darling in the Franxx. Considered a bit of a classic, Eureka goes deeper and things feel like they have a bit more consequence. Also a bit less slice of life. The dub isn't bad, either!
