Apologies in advance for extra wonky anatomy more than normal, this was drawn partially under the Nyquil influence.

This is more or less a quick prototype sketch of Ike's mom, a peahen. Thankfully peahens lack the horrible tail of death that the males boast. I am still debating if I should just do away with the ankle-fluffs and go solid feet or if I should bother keeping some semblence of bird-feet. I already did away with wings in the case of avian characters for this project...mainly because it seemed counterproductive and more effort than its worth. It just seemed more sense to figure they traded out flight for their larger biped selves or whatnot.

Normally when I sketch characters out I'll draw the body first then add on clothes. However since this is a body test I figured not much point. I'm slowly trying to refigure how to draw pudgy characters, one of the things I am really hoping to do in the next project I am doing is to bust out with a few different bodytypes...something I never have quite managed to pull off right in DMFA. Ike's mom is meant to be a shorter and somewhat heavy lady who hails form the New Orleans area. Next time I should draw Ike and her together for size comparison...but ugh...right now I am totally not up for tackling Ike's freaking hells tail.
