It's about time I got a companion set of pictures for Kali to go along with the Kuja set. This time I wanted a SFW picture I could show friends, especially the ones who interacted with her in role-playing games like Shadowrun.

Kali always wanted to be an entertainment star, and she's a naturally funny person (Kuja too, for that matter), so stand-up comedy seemed like a great choice. During her last year of school she converted some of her time with her gang and arcade to prepare a stand-up act. Here she is out of school and performing her regular weekly gig at a club. What the crowd doesn't know is her other job of running the shadows as a ninja. Her pants and tabi sneakers are some of her ninja wardrobe preferences. The flannel is another personal favorite of hers, having grown up in the north she's comfortable with lumberjack fashion.

She wants her comedy and martial art prowess to feed into her career as an action movie star in the big movies. She never quite figures out how to include working a band into her life, but she learned to play bass guitar. She's a better singer than a bass player, for sure. If you ever heard Ellen Greene sing (Little Shop of Horrors, Rock-a-Doodle), that gives you an idea of the angelic voice Kali has when she sings. Andrea Libman (Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie) is the model for the other half of Kali's voice range, as well as Kali's normal speech voice. It's a weird combination to have such a wispy voice singing for grunge rock.
