"Borf!"

Among the myriad of creatures residing on Terra, there is the Rimeback. An ice elemented creature with a cold soft gooey inside and a outer body made of up ice and snow that it can harden and sprout icy spikes if feeling threatened. Normally residing in cold climates and high up on mountaintops, they have been known to come down from their mountaintop homes during the winter to look for more food to take back to said homes. Not outwardly hostile unless someone or something threatens them, or their familial units. Rimebacks eat any cold food they can find while avoiding anything hot or spicy.

It's also not uncommon for young Rimebacks to curiously wander away from their homes during the cold winter months and wander into small towns or farmlands. One such Rimeback made his way down from the mountains around Azure Coast during one winter and onto The Sunny Side farmlands, where he hungrily starting chomping on cold grown crops. Close by was a younger Optimal out playing in the snow happily, and upon approaching the dragon, the Rimeback cub spooked him and himself! Both hiding from each other for many moments before the young dragon slowly came out and offering the critter some cool chocolate. Curious about the food, the Rimeback approached to sniff at it before eating it quickly...and loving what was given! Giving Opti's face several licks of affection, following him as well which prompted Opti to give him more food!

After this, the cute cub wouldn't leave the dragon's side and Opti asked Aurora and Maggie, his mother and grandmother, if he could keep him. It took a bit of convincing from Opti, and a bit of help from Opti's nanny, Gloria, the Rimeback was allowed to stay as Opti's pet and friend! He was given the name Slush by Opti, as he found it cute and it fit the Rimeback, who didn't seem to mind at all as he gave Opti's face more licks after being given it. Much like the dragon, he loved being cold and was not a fan of the heat at all as he would get grumpy(like Opti) when too hot. It appears to have a fondness for cold treats such as ice cream, likely due to Opti's massive sweet tooth and him sharing his snacks with Slush. As Slush grew in the Zandorus' care, he has grown to be very protective of the family, especially of Opti. Now the size of a grown bear, he's still as cuddly and playful as ever, even more so some would argue upon getting many cool licks from the big guy.
