Okay I had to get this out of my system.
I've been in a bit of a burn out lately, due to baby spending all my energy. So I just had to do a quick single body something.
(Now back to work *cracks whip*)
As a kid Thundercats was one of my absolute favorite tv shows, right next to Brave Star, TMNT, The Real Ghostbusters, Batman the animated series , MLP, Care Bears, Bionic 6, D&D , Biker Mice from mars and the list goes on and on and ooooooooonnnnnnnn~
I had a Cheetara action figure when I was 6/7 and because of how I loved throwing her up in the air and watching her spin she came crashing down onto the concrete... into many peaces. (Because of that incident I became obsessed with preserving all my toys as much as possible) >w>
So I still have a working Heman action figure with his battle-cat and most of my old MLP. <3
Anyway, I was playing with my 10 month old baby and bored out of my mind, so to pass the time I loaded all the old Thundercat episodes onto the laptop and watched as she played contently, slobbering all over stuffed toys and pulling the puzzle carpet apart and crawling over me.
While googling images for ref I came across a new Thundercat reboot they are doing now... and oh my god... I'm happy that the Thundercats are getting some much deserved attention... but it's not what I would have hoped for.
It looks... em... different?
I love the 2011 reboot they did, but apparently that got canceled? So sad.
Oh well, at least the Thundercats are getting some love... even if it makes me cringe. >w>
Do you guys have any favorite shows that you had toys from or still have from when you where kids?

Thundercats HO!!!!!!
I had no idea you were a fan! Cheetara certainly looks interesting in your style! :D
Yes, Thundercats Roar!, looks HORRIBLE. Warner Bros. is again disrespecting an iconic franchise to make a quick-buck. The guy who did Lion-O's voice in the original series, and King Claudus in the 2011 reboot will be back in the cast, but I don't know what character(s) he'll be voicing.
I wish they would have just tied up some of the "trillion" loose-ends they left with the 2011 Season 1 cliffhanger! I mean, that reboot only got 26 eps, the original series had 130. I frankly hope Thundercats Roar, BOMBS. I HATE this minimalistic style that SO many cartoons have! The 2011 series was VERY comparable to the 1985 series, imho. In what I'd give for an overall score between the two shows at least.
The cartoons of the 80s were some of the BEST, imho! MLP, Ghostbusters, though I liked both the Filmation and the "Real" Ghostbusters series. Master of the Universe, when they weren't recycling He-man's run-scenes. lol TMNT, Brave Star and like you said, a LOT of others that were awesome! Silverhawks was another fave, done by the same people who made the original Thundercats, even many of the same voice actors! The light reflecting off their metal bodies in virtually EVERY shot must've been PAINSTAKING work! But wow, was it worth it, speaking as a fan of course. lol
Sorry for blathering on, I love cartoons and animation, so I couldn't help it. lol
Again, VERY nice work on Cheetara!! ^_^

Thank you Crystal! Yes I am a big fan. =)
Yeah I kinda wonder how they sold that pitch... "It's Thundercats , BUT! in the shape of jelly babies and they go Nyan!"
You can find some vids on YouTube that explain what would have happened in the 2nd season, so sadly we'll never be getting it. =(
I loved the Heman recycled run scenes, xD
I made a point of it to spot them and see how it was edited, as a kid I though it was fun to spot. >w>
Not at all, I love talking about the old cartoons, I re watched the real Ghostbusters series last year when I was pregnant and just love at how dark it would get some times, like the Batman series.
Which I would fight with my sister to watch Batman, since her show played at the same time on Saturday mornings, she wanted to watch Wheres Wally.

She looks good in your style. And while the 80s version wasn’t big on me I knew what it was, but the 2011 version, Ho man did I eat that up! Got the entire series and it’s so damn good, I hated that cliffhanger ending and I wished it was getting a continuation instead of...whatever the crap Roar is going to be. I will give it a chance but my expectations aren’t high.
A gorgeous piece of one of the more sexy characters from my childhood.

As far as old toys from old cartoons I still have are GI Joes; Covergirl, Scarlett, Snake Eyes, Baroness, Major Bludd, and about ten Vipers/Grunts. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (none of the weapons, but the characters/belts) Leonardo, Raphael, Slash, Bebop, Rocksteady, and Ray Fillet (Man Ray in the comic). I no longer have Michaelangelo or Donatello, or Shredder, the Turtle Van or the blimp anymore. Transformers; Prowl, Optimus Prime, Soundwave (with Laserbeak and Ravage) and Starscream. M.A.S.K.; Rhino, Switchblade, Thunderhawk, Condor, Piranha, Gator, Raven, and Vampire. I also had T-Bob and Scott, but lost the kid a long time ago. Unfortunately, I was never able to get Bionic 6 characters (although I watched the show with ravenous abandon) and my brother hid my He-man toys because I played out in the snow with them one year, and ran in to go to the bathroom so he picked them up and hid them from me. I asked him if he had seen them (because I was going to go back to playing) and he said no. Months later, he told me he threw them away because I didn't deserve to have them. Of the list I had He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Man-at-Arms, Ram Man, Stratos, Beast Man, Trap Jaw, and Merman. Mom was pissed because that was more than $80 of toys he threw away.

Thank you Charvale!
I remember the turtles in the store, but sadly my mom refused to get them since my Aunt was convinced they where satanic.
So my mom got me Heman and my sister Skeletor instead. xD
Oh man that breaks my heart, what a dick move. I hope your mom turned his hide red!

You're welcome! =3
I got all four turtles for Christmas the year they came out, along with the blimp and van, and worked my tail off doing extra chores for $1 each a day to buy the others, so I had a reason to want them to survive into my 20's and beyond.
That... is... PERFECT! X3 I would've loved to have a sibling who played the same games I wanted to play rather than wanting nothing but Barbie. XD
My brother was 18 already (we were 10 years apart in age) and both my parents were not about to do that, and they didn't order him to buy the characters for me again because they were no longer in the stores, he didn't have the money, and was about to leave for the Army.

Thundercats, It was really the only thing that some of my uncles and I could use to bond over before they left to go live in different parts of the world. then when the 2011 reboot came, I would always try to see it whenever I could cuz of what it symbolized to me in my youth. It was sad to see that go ungracefully. it had so much potential and yet, like many other shows it got canceled due to the cost of animation out weighing the merch sales. Oh well not much I could do about that, but at least the memories that TC had helped make are valuable and meaningful enough so I could bear to give the series a bittersweet Farwell when it was cancelled.
then Thundercats Roar gets announced...

Aw, take care of yourself Zoy >< Ofc ya must have some time for yourself as well, never good to feel burned out!
The picture came out great, I never watched Thundercats tho haha... t-t''' I know about them somehow since kid, but I never saw it xD Derp
The old shows I used to watch when I was a kid was Pokémon, MLP, The Powerpuff girls, Digimon, The Thick, The Mask, Time Squad, Sailor Moon, Fresh Prince in Bel Air, Totaly Spies, Martin Mystery & Happy Ness... I know some shows are more new but I still wanna mention :v
Toys/plushies I still kept I mostly have from Pokémon and Digimon actually, most of the other things we gave away to daycares who didn't have much. Favorite thing: A giant pikachu plush I had with me since I was 7 years old c: It means alot to me in many ways and I wouldn't be able to throw it away derp (never would try tho!)
