I always found the phrase "Remember me when you're famous" to be a relatively meaningless, if not very selfish, comment, even more so due to the fact I always got these comments from people who had the least amount of significance in my life, like acquaintances, or from supposed friends who wouldn't help me out in my artistic career as I built it. Sort of gives the idea that you only know a person because you want them to give you a shout out while they don't do anything to improve upon themselves, at least those are the people that tend to say that to me. Luckily I have some friends I can ask for help with ideas, who will be honest with me when it comes to improvement, and who give real encouragement.
