This is another illustration from my in progress novel "Wolf Boy", written by me and illustrated by Russell Tuller. I've thought about this idea a few times, but I wonder what society would be like if humans had tails similar in function to canines to aid with our non-verbal communication to one another. Would we lie to one another less if we could "see" someone's untruth? Would we be more caring if we had additional physical ques for someone's apprehension/sadness? What do you all think?
Story Excerpt:
"It was only after I had successfully pinned Starlight to the ground and we were both starting to calm down that I became aware of the continued, strange sensations from behind me. I whipped my head around and looked with a mixture of confusion and curiosity at my tail bespeaking my delight with faint, gentle motions. Starlight whined at the sudden interruption in our play and I looked back at him.
“It's my tail. I can feel it moving.”"
