Because its an insult to what the series was. Cute or otherwise, its just pandering and nothing of substance comes from stuff like that besides a few cheap laughs. I like this picture for being just that, a cute picture. But an entire series of what CN is doing, nah. That is why people are upset. Because hard work was put into Thundercats and its reboot. Real depth went in and it would just be an insult to all that hard work. I hope this explained why people are upset without me sounding like a dick. Either way, I love this picture, hate Thundercats Roar.

FWIW, I think people are way too melodramatic in regards to the series. Nobody is forcing you to watch it after all!
