Gault's wife, Garuda is another griffin like him, obviously. The two met while in boot camp while the two had signed up for the illustrates Griffin Air Force. The meeting wasn't easy. The two of them crashed into eachother while on a training excersice prompting them both to crash onto one of the barracks which had a weakening roof due to the ravages of time. Two full grown griffins slamming into it at high speed didn't help either and after making sure they were okay, the two had to help fix it. along with being given other punishment detail.

Things had gotten off to a rocky start and Garuda had picked Gault to be her sparring partner. She had reach, but he had flexibility. The two went ten rounds with no clear winner and they were forced to call it a draw. They ended up having a tiebreaker in Garuda's quarters. She had reach but he had flexibility...
