Hey all!
So this is a new Icon I was designing for myself after I had so much fun makeing one for  Deirdrefang (which you can see HERE)!

But the issue with them is their compression size, which you can notice by looking at my profile Icon below. See how tiny it is? The reason is that FA only allows Icons to be 55kb which is fine if your animating in a vector program, but terrible for most other motion graphics gifs...like mine.

My process works like this,
I start with footage shot at 1080p/60fps and drop it into my editor, after futsing with it, It becomes a 500px by 500px file that's usually about 1-2gb in size. I convert that into a mp4 that's about 7mb or so. Then I convert it into a Gif that's about 2mb smaller. Since FA allows submissions to be up to 10mb, I don't lose much quality in the process. However, I then need to resize that down to 100px by 100px to be the size of most FA Icons. This sadly only drops the file down to about 300kb. So I futzed around again and dropped it to 40px by 40px, and compressed the shit out of it. This leaves me with a 49kb file, but real crap quality. Which is why I haven't opened these for commission yet.
