Dugun stepped into the sands, expecting to see the Abzan caravans protected by their armies. But as he entered the wastes he heard the sound of dragons circling overhead, scale lords ruled here now. And they didn’t tolerate interlopers.
As a blazing light struck him, Dugun thought his body would melt. But the dragon’s breath did the opposite, hardening him, pushing him down to the ground, even as wings grew from his back. The family of Dromaka was welcoming another dragon to their brood.
