The Oraculum scroll on this day says:
"Je peux. Le temps coule comme de la fumée quand il prend la forme d'air."
She lays on a chaise in her library with this apathetic stare. As I try to comprehend her riddle, I my thoughts keep screaming. I want to impress her, but I know deep down I never can.
She breathes in a long swig from her pipe and blows thick, sweet smoke out away from me. My mind reaches for some unattainable hope that she cares enough not to blow it into my face.
"Pourquoi êtes-vous ici?"
For some reason, her French translates perfectly into my mind. I open my mouth to speak and she just "tsks" and turns up her nose.
"Je sais déjà ce que vous allez dire, stupide garçon."
I'm shattered for a moment, until the smoke she breathed out starts taking shape into an exact mirror image of me. It glares angrily in my direction.
"Au lieu d'essayer de m'impressionner, peut-être devriez-vous vous impressionner vous-même. Prendre le contrôle de votre avenir, non?"

Love her! Never thought I’d see the caterpillar as a French speaking giraffe but the self important air of contempt is spot on. Strange that of all the pics of her this is the only one with a hookah pipe which is integral to the caterpillars image and character. Maybe a cigarette holder looks more “French” if that’s what your going for.
Thank you! There was this ongoing theme in my journaling that perspective could make “the past, present, and future as tiny as a caterpillar or as towering as a giraffe” — so I went with a giraffe in this instance.
I wanted her cigarette holder accessory to be more of a wand that she could paint smokey visions in the air, though she does sometime default to the hookah visions like her predecessor. (Plus yeah, it is more French-themed... Truthfully, I mayyy have gotten some inspiration for her from Angelique from Rango, lol!)
