originally this was supposed to just be a one or 2 page deal kind of showcasing an event in the "toxic love" arc that was started with
baronbulge's comic where muta-cadence would command stheno to..."retrieve" her husband after making stheno useful again (and hey, it's technically not cheating anymore if they're the same person right? hooray for family values!). Because baron kind of swore of commissions indefinitely, but I still wanted to kind of attack that plot point I asked ponyanony if he was interested and he went much farther beyond what I asked; he wrote and illustrated a bunch of ideas I was not even fathoming considered I initially figured I'd be lucky if I even got 2 pages in one go XD
also I think the critics on other sites I've seen assume I took way more influence on the story than I did lol. This was probably the least involved I've ever had to be on a commission tbh, I don't think I even wrote any of the lines of dialogue. I think anony just enjoyed 1)drawing out a combat scene, and 2)actually doing a villain character for once since most people seem to commission characters that have a more heroic demeanor. that venom/shadow pony thing is pretty cool too!
also don't whine about shining armor, he's 100% alive; we're playing by DBZ absorbtion rules where absorbed targets have to be alive and intact to be usable, christ some of you guys are so dramatic XD

probably, it'd be more like a subconscious thing though. I never intended it to be a major plot point in any kind of long running comic, I mean I give him a week (a month tops) in actual comic world time before his plans are thwarted, maybe if this went on for years it might be an issue.
I did consider a funny idea like "the superior spider-man" where doc oc body transferred to spiderman's body and tried to be a better superhero than him. think of "the superior shining armor" where he shifts his body to be less conspicuous and pretends to be shining armor to comedic effect; seems fun but it's too much time/expense though.

actually if we were dealing with mutant cadence this was likely her idea. also I like to imagine if stheno WAS in this universe, it explains flurry heart's freakish strength and why she is the Broly of pony-kind since the expression of stheno's genes from when they were both corrupted transferred down to flurry.

His horn's orange glow brightens and spreads over his body, encasing the young stallion in what looks like full plate and chainmail armor. The magical material is ghostly and transparent, as if it were made of glass, covering his entire body in a protective shell from the corrupting goo. He draws his sword, wielding it with telekinesis. He glares at the monster in front of him (ignoring how impressive those muscle look), "One way or another, I'm getting Master Armor out of there."
