I really like the high-contrasting elements of your war mice, which have a really unique combo of cute and serious.

I think I just figured out something that stands out to me in particular; the design of the mice themselves (not including their clothes, armaments, the situations they're placed in, etc) is like, 90% on the cute side, but when they open their mouths, it shows that you've given them realistic-ish rodent teeth.

So when their mouths are closed, you get that adorable mousey bucktooth look, but once they're open, you get a reminder of the scrappy little maniacs that they are in the animal kingdom.
