I got it rigged and wanted to test out the controls and see how it rendered. Pretty pleased! Still some things to fix, but that’ll have to wait.
Sadly I probably won’t be able to do much more with it for a while because running fluid sims turned out to be too much for my computer to handle, so until I upgrade my machine, I’ll probably focus on the characters’s outsides instead.

Neat. I was thinking of sculpting the general shape, and then using multiple displacements to do coarse/fine grain detail, plus a very large one for the peristaltic motions. Sculpting definitely seems like a good way to make nice, organically random folds. I'll probably give both a shot :P
