more watercolour experimentation
this originally was gonna be coloured digitally, but my scanner was not working, so i vented my XTREMEZ ANGERZ by painting it. i realized too late that i would have to hatch shade it allll over again.
anyway, a character i don't draw too often but am immensely fond of. it showed up in a dream a year or two back, and it is a deer and just that. it isn't some mutant monster deer, this is what deer were in that world. i call him poor dear.
p.s. yes, the paper is crinkly. yes, i know how to keep it from crinkling. i like it crinkly.

haaa, well if you're gonna use it, here's some little things: his mouth actuall stretches across the whole of his neck. he has about ten eyes that are blocked by that restraining hood; when his eyes are covered, he is completely tame. but take it off and he's an uncontrolable monster

It has a nice Silent Hill imagery to it, especially if it’s based on the deer of our world. But I do think the design looks really nice and I especially like the look of the cross-hatching of its underside and the fluffy-furriness of its body fur which seems to contradict (not in a bad way) the monstrous qualities of its mouth/head area.
