Sometimes Game Freak and Nintendo do things that make no godforsaken sense with their shinies. I figured I'd run through lineages and give my take on how I'd improve shinies, if I had the power to.

Rattata and Raticate are two pokemon that strike me as useful only in the early parts of a new game. Their shinies are interesting, but not much to speak of? Even Alolan Rattata and Raticate aren't my favorite shinies ever -- and I have one! I figured a way to spruce these two up would be to make them look like a real world mouse or rat, if only because the colors look cute. I love the blue mouth in rattata's shiny, which I why I kept it.
