:Game: Zack's PokeDate v0.1
Here it is! The project which I'll be working on for you guys! So with PvA losing the Pokemon aspect, I do still want to create a Pokemon vore game. Perhaps a few! This is what I'm starting with.
So what is Pokedate? It's my take on a Pokemon Vore game made by Zalir. Although the only things currently in common are the themes, "Pokemon Vore Game with some dating aspects." I have my own ideas that will be going into my game. Much of which you will see on the town tour!
Just to make sure you guys understand, this is JUST showing off the town. None of the Pokemon encounter ideas has been started yet. I wanted to get this out as show that I'm making progress. Please be prepared to read so you know what you can expect from this project!
http://www.mediafire.com/file/bw2zc.....eV0.1.rar/file
Edit! : Controls are arrow keys! Not WASD!
Over on Patreon, I'll be allowing my bronze badge holders (And higher) far more peaks of the game then FA or DA. I aim is to provide an update every week of how far along the game has gotten. Other sites like FA and DA will see a delayed waypoint release, unsure of the timing though.
You can find my Patreon here! -> https://www.patreon.com/zackfox101
So that it! Hope you enjoy my work so far and are excited to see where the project goes!
Feel free to comment what you think, ideas of your own or bug finds!

This is pretty interesting. I'm up for story in these games. So only some possible dates would be substantial? I get the impression that there's a mix of deep ones like the Pikachu and Jade and "one-night stand" type encounters. How exactly would one know which is which, so they can choose who or how to focus on moving forward?
Maybe make it that some of the larger story-based characters would require getting to know them more over time like with Jade, but if the player is overzealous, could lock themselves out of that story by eating them. Maybe the ending would ultimately vary depending on who is fully romanced?
Definitely some interesting mission types. Mundane and exciting, both of which could expand on the world. The mail thing sounds like it could be a fun mystery to solve.
The Feraligatr family could be interesting, maybe lots of side quests from all of them, or maybe Feraligatr could be romanced? That way you could essentially build a new family. Or help him bond with his kids.
The escort missions could provide a lot of possibilities to go through them; normally, eat them essentially because you can, or safe vore. For instance, eat the Pokémon that you have to lead, but release them when you get to the destination? Prevents them from wandering away into danger, but forces the player into a time limit before digestion kicks in, getting them the same result as outright eating them should the timer run out. Though how about the penalty for this method being a reduced reward?
As mentioned above for possible PvA easter eggs, incredibly rare mission where one of the characters asks for help in locating Pokémon-eating aliens, and Zangoose agrees to help because the reward is high and she's convinced that the Pokémon you're helping is a total crackpot, so easy money. Then you find it, fight it, and when the PvA character eats it, thanks Zangoose and grants a huge reward, all the while she's like over the entire ordeal.
Zangoose originally being a human, that could be interesting to read. Not only changed to a different form, but having a ravenous appetite. Whoever encounters her in the forest would make for a good early-game morality choice, since it might be possible to eat them. Possibly make them a romance option should they stick around long enough?
Also, don't know if I missed this in the demo, as I played it pretty late, but does Zangoose have an actual name?

I'm still formulating how things will be handled dating-wise but your input helps me to think things over.
- Not all dates start the same way. Not all encounters are dates too. So far, the main "dating" aspect will be though one-night-stands. Any special encounters I'll be sure to show some sort of sign that it is special. Like, on the main signpost, a special date will have a fancy posting. Or perhaps you the player puts up a posting. On the special dates, they go on in stages, so you can go date 1, date 2, and date 3. Might not be the best at coding so you can date all you want. However I do plan to have it so certain Pokemon, rather eaten or non-eaten can affect outcomes.
-Still working on that Feraligater idea. That was literally a thought of "Wouldn't it be funny if there was just a crap ton of Totodiles?"
Didn't think of that about the escort missions. Some notes to be taken here. Perhaps there is a seed or something that would allow for the Pokemon in the belly to be safe for a while. Hmmmm. Wonder if that can be applied to dates too. Like if you let a date out after eating them, and see their reaction. Although I'd think most would run away and you'd get in trouble and game over.
Well, that is an idea for the PvA easter egg. Something to consider!
Yeah, I want to do the human to Pokemon theme. I want to play with it too, like have the character just be like, "Okay! I'm a Zangoose now!". As for the appetite thing and how it's led into that. I was thinking the Zangoose thinks it's all a dream and thinks eating a Pokemon would be fine. Probably be a good section to read too, telling a Pokemon he's dream dust.
Another idea is having the human be male before and then become a female Zangoose. Would like to hear your thoughts on that idea. :3
And no, you didn't miss it. The Zangoose hasn't gotten a name yet. That's been one of the hardest things to figure out. Although a thought is to play with the idea that she thinks it's a dream and give herself a funny name... OH! Might have just thought of one. >w>

Alright, sounds like a good way to differentiate between one-timers and more serious bachelors/ettes.
I don't know why, but seeing so many Totodiles, especially in one place, did get a chuckle out of me.
Seed idea sounds good. Maybe a rare find, so that the player can decide if a rare item is worth a better chance at success and lessened reward. Interesting to apply it to dates. Maybe a select few possible dates would come to enjoy it, and when they leave, you could get a gift as thanks in the mail. But yeah, keep the possibility of them not appreciating it at all. Or if used on a more significant date character, if the relationship is close enough, the bond grows more. But if used too early, they'll avoid you.
I think and interesting thing to do with adding the PvA characters is Tommy, since he's a Totodile appearing in a game with a horde of them. Though that could be how he's encountered. Since there's so many, players likely wouldn't know it's him until talking to him. Sort of a surprise.
Huh, that would definitely lead to an interesting revelation for the Zangoose when she realizes what she's been doing. Maybe make her reaction dependent on how many she's eaten. If not that high of a number, she freaks out over what she's done. If incredibly high, she basically goes, "oh, well, they were good, anyway." Maybe if she becomes a patron of that "underground kitchen," it would count as a higher number, as she's around others where this is a common thing.
Huh, definitely didn't consider her being a male human. Could play around with that. Be interesting if she starts a family and somehow reverts back to her original form. Perhaps she's somewhat uncomfortable getting cat calls at first, but then decides to go with it.
I like the possibility of a funny name being used, and the first people she meets would be confused, then refer to her by a more mundane version of the name.

I really hope you'll be able to export a Linux build for the next version: This barely runs on Wine... screen flashes everywhere and the image glitches all over the place. I managed to stabilize it just enough to see the town. Looks very good so far, I'm eager to see the next release!
I see. Maybe you can obtain that and give it a try then. Even if Linux users aren't the majority, there are probably many of us who jumped the Windows ship and are using this OS... we surely won't be able to do anything without it.
Hmmm... are you using Game Maker, the same engine in which PackedRat / Ghoulvania was written? I just realized it's the exact same kind of shuttering and glitching I experienced with it when I ran the Windows version on Wine! The issue went away after the developer exported a Linux native version, which I'm now able to play without a problem.

I am using Game Make 8 for Pokedate. The idea is to transition to Game Maker Studio where things are a bit more direct, as in it relies more on pure coding rather than the drag and drop nature of GM8. Although this also means some of the codings I've done will break once I move my project from GM8 to Studio. In the meantime, I'd want to have some progress done on the Pokedate so it's just not a state town explorer.
Okay...so I just downloaded and explored...literally the whole thing. (except for the super long cave tunnel, which I didn't reach the end, as I thought it was gonna be endless).
I have ONE issue...it's WAY too good! There is so much that can be done with the game. So much potential. To be honest, I'm still a little upset on PvA losing the pokemon aspect, but I'm sure I'll adjust.
I kinda like, for a nice demo version, the random signs with seemingly humorous text. My personal favorite...the blank room! NO MAIL TODAY! SUNDAY AND AN EMPTY MAILROOM!
I do wonder a few things...Will there be a couple of playable pokemon? Or not? (Not that I have anything against Zangoose or anything...I just have a preference for the more canine and feral pokemon and whatnot. At least Zangoose is hoenn...and now nostalgic.) And when will the game be updated?
Also, I defeated the two wurmple and found the Ariados. When they are attacked, their sprite becomes a wurmple for some reason, though only temporarily. I also went back to the forest to find the wurmple there...only I can no longer attack them! Is that a...umm... BUG?! *insane laugh*
I only wish I could a time machine to play this in the future, when it's completed...
