The Ballad of The Dick Ripper - <i>Once upon a time, in a land far far away, then farther still....There was a young noblewoman, wolfishly wild and fiercely proud of her magical talent. She herself cared not if she succeeded her father or not, and cared only for practicing her magic and romping in the woodlands. Perhaps, if she had abdicated her position clearly, the threads of fate would have pulled her in another direction. Her younger sister, disdainful of the elder's carefree nature, began to plot with a young nobleman who coveted their father's lands. It was easy enough to lure the older sister to the castle wall's with promises of new magic to learn. The man indeed kept his promise of showing her new magic, and with a jolt of powerful energy, transformed her into a kobold. A weak, pathetic creature that humans culled without thinking. While the older sister reeled, stunned by the series of events, the man seized her, and with a few cruel words, dropped her over the walls. She plummeted into the spring-swollen river below. For those who knew her, her story ended there. A tragic slip, a drowning, and a body never to be found. However, magic has its quirks. Her own magic, reacting to the transformation, reacted. In exchange for her power, she knew how to use her new body. New paws paddling, her lengthy tail acting as a rudder, the woman eventually came to shore, shivering as rain began to pour from the sky. It was then she discovered that her magic was nearly gone. Upon trying to cast a flame spell to warm herself, only a pitiful spark resulted. Alone, trapped in a new form, and torn from her magic, she huddled in the rain, trying to find some form of direction.</i>
