I get to be Santa's dog once per year, at the city of Williamston christmas lights parade. To be in the parade, you need to be decorated with Christmas lights. So I don my light-strewn santa cap, put on some lights around my body, and visit with Santa. I always try to get there early and stroll about the town, including spending time with Santa Claus. Sometimes I even get to be his helper and hear a few stories from the kids on how good they have been. Then, as night falls, I join my friends from the chamber of commerce and we lead the parade with the banner, and I zig-zag back and forth, shaking paws as people call out from both sides of the street.
