Accidental Unicorn
I couldn't let Unicorn June go by without doing something. Look how majestic!
Lester, Candle, and their stories belong to me. The ice cream belonged to Lester, but now it has donkey hair in it and that doesn't pair well with strawberry.

XD Ya know, I wonder if a Unicorn might be able to assist some of these people. I guess time will tell. It's not like Unicorns are a common creature on Earth anymore, after all. If they ever existed at all, they've likely been hunted to near extinction, if they haven't fled to some place humanity can't find them.
Medoro: *entering and bowing in his typical custom* Perhaps I may be of assistance with this topic. You are quite right, Master Omni. A unicorn would be a marvelous friend to have, particularly for anyone with a curse. Unfortunately, since Titania left the realm nobody has seen one. She had a strange kinship with them that no fae has been able to recreate. I am sure they still live, but many of the nobler creatures have gone into hiding... as well they should, I'm afraid.
Medoro: I can say with some certainty that the falsehood was circulated by humans who were not kindhearted enough to be considered a worthy acquaintance to the creatures. From what I understand, many humans who have... er... known someone in the biblical sense have not only touched the unicorns, but were permitted to ride them in times of great need.
Medoro: *grins* If I may speak candidly, I feel that if anyone were to draw attention from unicorns or griffons in this realm, it would be one who found it in their heart to extend grace to one so treacherous as Moth. Do not misunderstand, I feel that she is broken and can be healed, of course, but I find myself unable to be so cordial as you in her presence.
Medoro: That is the tragedy. She did. Yet, she still labors under the delusion that nobody ever truly cared for her, that she was always the outcast. I do pity her, because she did create that reality after her lover passed, but friendship is not something I can offer her now. Perhaps it is the flaw of my species, but I invariably share the anger and distrust my mistress feels toward Lady Moth. She is fortunate to have met people so forgiving as you and some of the others I have met in this place. I hope that she may carry that kindness with her.
I think it's a fault all fae and immortals share. They can't comprehend the loss of death, because they can't die themselves. Heck, a lot of humans know they're going to die, and they still can't take it. *Shrugs* When we mortals face it, we learn to deal with it over time. We're not powerhouses capable of mass explosions and curses. You guys, well ... I've noticed that the fae are capable of quite a few ... inventive methods to vent their feelings, to say the least.
Medoro: *looks around once more, uneasily* Being in the same court for such a long period of time tends to breed similar magic preferences in a group of fae. Manipulation of emotions, memory, and time was very popular around the time of Lord Oberon and Lady Titania, but slowly gave way to transfiguration once Lady Titania got a taste for it. I believe she learned it from her young charge from India. The cultural magics there are very different.
Medoro: *lifts his head, trying to recall* I do not know very much of the boy. Lady Titania was very protective of him and few of us actually saw him. She and Lord Oberon had several spats over the boy... one resulted in the whole Midsummer debacle. The boy was the son of an Indian king, we were told, and a changeling had been left in his place when he was taken. Why she was so fixated on him, and why she was so intent on taking a child from India, I do not know. Perhaps it was political. The boy ran off not long after Lord Oberon and Lady Titania's passing. He never returned to India, but did settle down in Greece and lived to a healthy old age.
