Kato is a Kyrusharn in a futuristic setting. His tail and eye were replaced by cybernetic replicas, not entirely by choice, as an unknown group snatched him up and attached the parts using stolen prototypes, only to be slaughtered by Trix, the aggressive AI contained within the tail. What the group's original goals are is unknown, and honestly neither of them care.

The two are capable of performing a subpar imitation of unihemispheric slow-wave sleep, though doing so too often in a row will still leave them tired or even exhausted. It is quite useful for areas where it is unsafe to sleep without fear of ambush.

Kato is a decent hacker and prefers to avoid fighting, while Trix has a mild adoration of violence and thus the two often disagree about how to handle various situations.
