Tbh there's a LOT of inconsistency in the way the collar has been depicted. Sometimes they evaporate instantly, sometimes slowly, sometimes it tempts her until she gives in to putting it on, sometimes she's tricked into it, sometimes it just seems to teleport onto her.

On the topic of expectations. I'm half expecting her expression to become one of relief at moments like this simply for the fact that she doesn't have to worry about it happening anymore.
