I wanted to try to do cell coloring with my markers, and this how it came out, it gave it a nice soft look to it.

i know this is highly debated, so lets not make this one.
=3 Having studied ninjutsu...you want a shorter and more straight blade for unsheathing faster for thrusting strikes against opponents quickly.
But some great ninja of history have taken the samurai blades of their fallen enemies, washed them in the rivers of their enemies blood and would use the soul (permeated thru a once blood soaked blade) of the fallen samurai to slay his enemy 9other samurai). in the end, its all about speed in Ninjutsu, not power.
But thats all history. I talk alot of malarky thats usually common knowledge. There really is no right or wrong answer, but its still a really really nice piccie.
*giggles* I just cant wait for him to try to draw the sword the first time. XD Cuz theres no way with his arm length he can unsheath that sword effectivly without tripping over yerself. =3 Try it.
Oh, one more tid bit. the sword of a true ninja is a Wakizashi (and regardless of what anime ppl watch) some would wear it parralell to their back. (The Last Samurai is an accurate depiction of a ninja attack)

You do know, though, that ninjas are always totally covered, and use Ninja-To--not katanas :P
Ninja-to are straight! They'd only have a katana if they stole it, and they'd probably wear it traditional hip style if they still used their Ninja-To. It's a useful sword, since it's black, won't reflect light, and doesn't make sound as you slip it out of its sheath if you're careful.
