This was a private piece that I did back in May for Alex of us. I decided I would submit it because I liked the tree in the back, being as trees are one of my favorite things to paint .

This was some time shortly after I found out I was pregnant (Before my pregnant belly ) and this piece represents how I felt at the time It's an extremely personal piece for me. I know there are a lot of mistakes, but I don't really care because in my mind when I see things, they never come out really perfect anyway,. There is always a wavy surealness to things that brings comfort.

The tree is actually from another painting that I scrapped of the Lotus province in Tralee, the area that Shane the main character in my Story of Water and Metal Romance of the Dragon pearl, spent as a youth. I don't intend to finish that painting but I would like to use this tree in future pieces as well. I consider it a prop.
