I actually did it in response to everyone getting mad about her existing in the trailer. I saw a lot of negative reception about her and how she was just put in for a romance plot/mad that toothless was made straight despite not ever having/needing a sexuality in the precious films. My response was “what if she doesn’t even want him in the first place?” ;)
That's another issue I noticed, hence the dumb yet unwantingly fitting "anti straight month" term, since in "current year" it is somehow a "bad thing" to have straight characters in romance. As for Toothless being a he or a she, I'm pretty sure the nightfury was referred to as a male, since all the other riders that had female dragons did refer to them as females or male if they had a male. Hell there were episodes where the male dragons defended females with a nest of eggs.
No, I only comment my dislike when I see it being used for nothing more than agenda furthering, isn't it funny how it is "pride month" and the trailer showed a female dragon for Toothless only to be then forced the rainbow flag on with the opening description of "Sorry toothless you gotta keep lookin for that special someone"
She was actually confirmed by Dean DeBlois that she was a sub species and that she never gets a name and stays wild. It's possible the courting never succeeds and since she's a sub species they name Light Furry they may not even be able to have kids anyway. So nothing may even be different at all :\ Also she's not the last of her kind so they aren't going extinct anyway.

You're the one who said they never give up until they woo over females and that toothless would also never give up. That statement is not true but it still sounds pretty bad the way you worded it. Males do move on eventually, they can't waste all their time on a single survival trait such as reproduction.
It doesn't matter if that was the end of the sentence also it says FEMALE not FEMALES. The original comment i made wasnt in regards to your second mention of females you didnt ad that till later.
