Many years ago I came across a print of this at a convention. It moved me in such a way that buying a copy was absolutely necessary. Today I experienced my first day of the monsoon season in South Korea. The air was hot and the rain was gentle. I walked through an old forest listening to the rain as birds sang. Besides that, it was silent. I think it’s the closest I’ve ever been to feeling what she may have been feeling.
Your work still impacts my daily life. Even though I’m currently on the other side of the pacific.
