Aka "The Biggest Typo"
Dez and Kamal role-play growth online, with their actions actually affecting reality. But what happens when one ducks out of the role-play without stopping the growth?

Dez slipped past his father, pushing through the doorway, and tossed his duffel bag at the base of the stairway.
“Don’t run up the stairs!” His father called after him, just as he turned the corner. “And your mother’s almost finished with dinner!”
“Okay, father!” Dez shouted back. He shut the door to his room, then practically jumped into his computer chair, almost sliding away from his desk. He rolled back to his PC, switching it on while grabbing his phone out of his pocket.
The sixteen year old cheetah sent a quick text to his friend, Kamal. “Home!” While he changed out of his jersey, his phone chirped.
“I’m on!” appeared on the screen.
Dez tossed his phone on the bed to pull on a green t-shirt. He kicked his dirtied uniform into his hamper - somewhat successfully - and sat back down at his desk just as the desktop screen popped up. His messaging program opened up automatically, so he clicked on Kamal’s username.
SpottedWizard: *pounces* I’m here!
BigBadger: *He reacts by catching and hugging you tight* Finally! How was the game?
SpottedWizard: We went into overtime. And lost. But enough hockey, I want to have some real fun! *grins and squeezes*
BigBadger: *He laughs* I’ve been waiting to hear those words.
Kamal sat up on his bed, crossing his legs and adjusting the pillow by his lower back. He closed the TV show he had been watching and waited for his friend to reply.
SpottedWizard: *rubs his paws together, a brightening green glow emanating from them* Ready for this?
BigBadger: *He puts his hands on his waist, puffing out his chest* Waiting on you, master wizard.
The badger made to take off his shirt, then paused. He glanced over at his closet, then decided to leave it on. He could spare another shirt.
SpottedWizard: *holds his paws against your chest, filling you up with warm energy* How’s that, big fella?
BigBadger: Ooh, that’s good, keep it coming. *He envelopes your paws with his, just as his pecs start to expand, stretching his shirt tighter*
Kamal groaned and sunk down on the bed, until he was lying flat. A gentle warmth spread through his body, from his ears down to his tail. He kept his laptop on his stomach and rubbed his chest through his shirt. Already the cloth was getting tight as his body expanded in tandem to the actions of his role-playing. He tilted his head up when Dez’s next message came.
SpottedWizard: (*giggles* you’re wearing a shirt again?)
The badger chuckled as the threads started to pop around his shoulders.
BigBadger: (I...can’t help myself. It feels too good to grow out of! =P)
Dez chuckled. His friend had commented that his parents were curious why he needed new shirts frequently. He warned Kamal not to wear clothes during their role-play sessions, yet the badger couldn’t resist doing so.
SpottedWizard: *just laughs and watches you inch higher, your chest already overlooking his head*
BigBadger: *He brings his arms down to puff out his chest, making them really jut out* Mm, did you use a stronger spell? This shirt is already close to bursting.
SpottedWizard: only “close”? means I didn’t use a strong enough spell
BigBadger: *He smirks and pulls you off the ground, hugging you against his thickening torso* Don’t need to go too fast. The faster I grow, the sooner we have to stop, after all.
As Dex typed his reply his mother’s voice pierced through the door. “Dez, dinner’s going to be ready in five minutes!”
“Okay, Mom!” he shouted.
“Dez!”
“I said, ‘Okay, Mom!’”
The silence affirmed his mother heard him the second time. And that she expected him in five minutes on the dot. Dez interlocked his fingers and stretched them, a couple of them popping. Then he finished his reply.
SpottedWizard: *feels your body continue to stretch, fighting your constricting shirt* I don’t think this shirt is going to last much longer
BigBadger: You’re right. I think it has to go *You hear cloth tearing as the shirt splits down the seams, and with a flex, his body frees itself from that soft prison* How’s that?
SpottedWizard: *squeals and explores your exposed body with his paws* so strong… *tilts his head up as the ceiling gets closer* You’re getting so big.
Kamal admired the view of his room. Everything looked so small, almost doll-sized. He towered over his desk, his bed, and even his dresser. He lumbered over to that piece of furniture and tried pushing it. At first the dresser didn’t budge, so the badger put more force into his efforts. Finally it shifted and slid a few inches, eliciting a smile from the growing badger.
Turning his attention back to the laptop, he typed a response to his waiting friend. Kamal had to use the very tips of his claws to form his sentences because his fingers to thick to use accurately. Although he was used to it now, it still slowed his typing. As he typed, another wave of warmth spread through him, his head now pushing against the ceiling.
BigBadger: *He gets on one knee, hunched forward because of the ceiling* Getting stronger too. * He flexes an arm, forming a decent sized bicep to him, though it’s softball sized to you.*
Dez rubbed the side of his leg, excited by his friend’s progress. Just as he was about to react to Kamal’s actions, he heard his mother’s loud voice again.
“Dez, dinner time!”
The cheetah groaned, flicking his tail, disappointed. But he didn’t want to upset his parents again so he quickly typed a pause message. “*pulls the growth energy out of your body, letting you enjoy some time at that size* (sorry, dinner time! I’ll get you bigger when I come back)\”
Dez left the room before his mother could call for him again, unaware that he had pressed the backward slash key rather than the “enter” key.
Meanwhile, Kamal continued to grow, sitting on his haunches as he compared various pieces of furniture to different parts of his body. He held up a paw against his window, his digits able to stretch over half its width. Next he rested a leg on his bed by his pillow that his foot could cover easily. Then he positioned his other leg by his desk, comparing his thick thighs to the length of the table.
The badger didn’t know why Dez took so long to reply. Maybe he had a video playing and didn’t notice a new notification. Whatever the case was, the badger continued to grow, and his head almost reached the ceiling again. He adjusted himself onto his paws and knees. He felt the carpet rub against his fur as his leg kept growing unabated.
BigBadger: (Dez? Are you still there?)
A short jingle rang out in Dez’s empty room.
Panic started to set in for the badger, his form filling up the empty space of his bedroom. Though he’d been that big before, Dez always actively messaged him, making sure the badger wouldn’t get too big. Now, there were no messages, leaving Kamal to grow alone.
The ceiling brushed against the badger’s fur, causing Kamal to sink further down, but his elbows could bend so much. His body had grown so wide half of his form rested on his bed. He could barely navigate one of his fingers to his laptop, pressing the control key to activate his microphone. “Dez, I’m getting a bit too big. We should stop now,” he said, the messenger transcribing his words to text. He wished he could convey urgency through text.
Dez wiped his damp paws on his shorts as he turned off the bathroom light. He made his way back towards the dining table, and when he passed the stairs his ears caught the sound of his computer chiming. Dez hesitated. Who could it be? Maybe he could go up and do a quick check just in case-
“Where are you going?”
The young cheetah nearly tripped as he came to a complete stop. He turned to see his mother standing a few feet away, her eyebrow scrunched and her lips curled.
“I heard my...phone… go off. I wanted to check who called. It might be an emergency.” It was sort of the truth, he reasoned. Maybe his mom might be lenient to give him a few minutes.
Unfortunately, his parents didn’t give in. “Whoever it is can wait twenty more minutes,” his father called out from the dining room. “Come on, finish your meal.”
Dez grumbled but did as he was told. Probably wasn’t that important anyway.
“Dammit,” Kamal muttered, almost all available space taken up by his expanding body. His wooden bed frame had already cracked, and the desk and chair were turned on their side, annoyingly digging into his fur.
“Ow, ow. Oh, no. No no no.” The walls and the ceiling pressed against his form, but they couldn’t stop his body from growing even more. They cracked and bent outward. The badger tried to adjust his position, but whatever he did just caused some other part of the room to groan and distend. The drywall cracked and dust tickled his nose.
Someone knocked on his door. “Kamal? What’s that noise?” The door knob turned, but the door itself couldn’t open, pinned against the badger’s massive foot.
“Uh, sorry, Mom. I think you and Dad should go outside.” A piece of the ceiling fell and bumped his muzzle. “Right now!” With a grunt, he pushed his back up, breaking the wooden beams above and causing the room to collapse in.
The sudden cool air made his fur bristle, and the giant badger slowly stood straight up. He grimaced as his knee banged into a wall, sending it toppling down. With a few careful steps, Kamal balanced his heavy body in the middle of his wrecked room. All his furniture lied disfigured or destroyed completely. Plaster, wood, and dust formed a blanket over all his possessions.
“Kamal, what in the world happened?”
The badger’s ears flicked toward the source of those words. He noticed the lit silhouettes of his parents in the front yard. “Oh, uh, see...well…” He scratched the back of his neck, his ears down, while he figured out how to recap the last half-hour.
Dez slowly chewed his chocolate cake, savoring the rich taste in his mouth. The sweet frosting melted on his tongue, causing his whiskers to bounce excitedly. He peered down at his plate, where half a cake waited to be eaten. Kamal wouldn’t mind if I spent another five minutes here, he thought.
“Hey check this out,” his father called from the living. He had opted out of dessert to watch the rest of the basketball game.
Dez walked into the living room, and his dad pointed at the TV. A news broadcast show played on the widescreen. “Big Trouble in Small Neighborhood,” read the caption. From a helicopter’s point of view, the camera pointed at a giant badger standing the wreckage of his home. The cheetah recognized the fur pattern immediately. “Oh...no…”
He zipped up the stairs and into his room, nearly falling as he shook his mouse to wake his screen up. Dez saw the unsent message as well as the ones Kamal had been sending. His finger jabbed at the return key to finally transmit his part of the role-play that would stop his friend’s growth. He knew Kamal couldn’t read it, but he sent a second message anyway.
SpottedWizard: sooo, did you enjoy the rp?
