Improving Shiny Pokemon: Spearow Family
Sometimes Game Freak and Nintendo do things that make no godforsaken sense with their shinies. I figured I'd run through lineages and give my take on how I'd improve shinies, if I had the power to.
Spearow is another one of those early pokemon that tends to get… REALLY overlooked, which is a shame because it’s a great pokemon for early-game like Pidgey – especially if you want a temporary flying type. I find that it’s a pokemon that tries really hard to be KING in the places it lives – even the anime has those spearows that attack Ash and Pikachu in the beginning and the fearow near the end of season 1.
I think that a pokemon like that would have a shiny that’d really stand out against it’s fellow Spearow/Fearow. A deep blue color and brilliant purple wings on spearow makes it really easy to spot among its fellows, and the dark navy body with a bright gold crest on fearow strikes an elegant and intimidating difference.
I like the idea of the “King of the Roost” coming together with the golden crest on Fearow resembling a crown.
