Specimen: Thresher

Originally native to the "moon" Elpis these motile plant creatures are a mass of tentacles and sensory organs that burrow through the ground in search of prey. Their tentacles are capable of delivering a deadly "slap" or of shooting spines or elemental energies like most of the life in the Pandora system. A pair of immature threshers were smuggled onto Pandora at one point and developed a taste for pandoran flesh, quickly spreading to any location with soft enough soil for them to burrow through and growing to massive sizes far larger than any seen in their native enviroment. One individual in particular is known to have grown to the size of an interplanetary ship.
