yep..stateside here. This is the first time a golf has been available in a 5dr version over here.

The street where I live is becoming VW central.. theres 2 golfs, 1 Passat, 1 Corrado, and a new Beetle

Nope..it was a seperate model. We had/have Jetta's over here too. Its what replaced the scirocco I believe.

If i felt motivated to do it... I could get my car close to the same power output as the R32 The only advantage is the 4WD but that makes it heavier than me.

Well yes, but AWD if my favorite config. It may make it a little heavier, but it has been shown to be much better in handling and getting the power to the ground. Thats why I like it ^_^
