That didn't do much until they started enforcing it with new rules towards the end of the 90s, and basically prohibited TV networks from allowing as much advertising on the programs - and that's what paid for the cartoons.

As for Cartoon Network Studios, well....they're Hanna Barbara, they've always been about the cheapest common denominator. (Despite the fact that they're technically WB animation now!)

Agreed, totally. By the time Fosters came around, I was completely tired of seeing anything even remotely close to that style, but Biskup's influence (and just how goddamn fluid the animation is) really saved it.

I see rainbow-colored effect flashes, plots so simple retarded toddlers would understand them, and the ever-so-epic pokemon themselves... act like rubberhose animation animals in practically every episode with their retarded dancing and HAY EVERYBODAY LETS BE GAY AND MAKE FRIENDS attitude. I proceeded to google every pokemon hate comic I could find and imagine Ash and co. in those.
And I'm never gonna forgive them for switching Pikachu's gender.

Scindo Project: To make a studio that allows REAL artists like most of the better guys here on FA make their dream shows, and to finally kick that stupid furry stereotype out and replace it with the fact that furries can be awesome artists and animators. :3
Seriously, just look at Tirrel (Cerberus here on FA)'s works. So freaking epic. He's also working on a new animation, called "Stairway to Katan" that looks suitably kiddy and would make a great children's show, and yet NOT suck. Which is a phenomenal thing, considering today's garbage...

though. i do love a little splash of sponge bob : p he makes me smile and isn't too horribly rendered. i also love how they add semi realism art in there sometimes : p might be more of child themes, but it's got a good bounce to it.

Have you seen the latest Pokemon? I love pokemon, but after seeing how horribly kiddy and retarded 4Kids and co. made it... I'm not surprised at all that there's a lot of pokemon-haters out there. Thankfully the games are still somewhat good, and Pokemon Special was just... awesome. Sometimes the book can be much, MUCH better than the movie. But so many kids those days are too lazy to read a book and rather the retarded version they usually show on TV. -_-

Which series? There's that "Electrical Tale of Pikachu", and "Pocket Monsters" (which features a 5-year-old ash with a magical set of headphones that lets him talk to pokemon. oh, and NO PLOT AT ALL.) Then there's "Pokemon Special" aka Pokemon Adventures.It's epic, and gets more and more epic as it goes. And it has 13 main characters... one for each offical pokemon game released. :3 (Including japan-only Green Version)
