Basically, I wanted to draw Tyrone as a mole like I did with Arte. Originally, I was going to draw him as an otter, however, the main thing about Arte and Tyrone was that they were two different species, yet they were the same species, or at least two incredibly similar species that both happened to be drawn by Akira Toriyama. So instead of making him an otter, I made him a star nosed mole.
As moles, they also have different bios. Arte, for example, works at a dance club where he is both the DJ and the security guard. Arte only wanted a good time, but he was quite the pugilist as any roudy drunkard could tell you after her getting into a fight with him. And like most fat guys, Arte's preferred form of transportation was a motorcycle custom tailored to fit his build.
Meanwhile, Tyrone was the leader of a vicious bike gang. Tyrone would crash bars, beat up people, and in one case he even terrorized another bike gang. Tyrone wears a scar on his chest from where the the leader of that gang shot him. Tyrone also had a girlfriend and this is where his story gets dark. His girlfriend that didn't exactly care for his antics, and one day, she caught Tyrone bullying other bikers. His girlfriend chewed his ear off over it, hoping Tyrone would get the hint. Instead, Her speech made Tyrone angry. In a fit of rage, Tyrone attacked his girlfriend... But Tyrone was so powerful, that he punched her right in the face and killed her.
This moment changed Tyrone forever. He turned himself in the next hour to the police, and spent years in prison moping over what he had done. Eventually, he was released, and to this point, he vowed to turn a new Leaf. He knew he could never bring back his girlfriend, but he wanted to repay for his crimes by doing good. One thing led to another, he found himself going to the same dance club that Arte worked for, which also had a bar. That was how the two met each other. Arte, realizing Tyrone's sorrow, decided he would help Tyrone in his quest to turning a new Leaf. And that is how the two became friends.
