Very nice - I like that stark contrast in colour with the line. Almost like a neat optical illusion that makes you stare all the more at the soles.

And thanks! Tried to add a bit more depth to that layer of scales, almost like armor layered on top of soft flesh.

There's a neat little effects tip I can give ya for texturing. :3 If you do the texture as a separate later, use pinch and punch filters on it to simulate depth. You don't have to do it very much - just a little alteration in the texture from the 2D default pattern helps trick the eyes into seeing the depth/dimension of the sole. Give it a try.

The army never really seems to succeed other than providing an opportunity for giant dinosaurs to showcase their strength and power and enjoy a brief period of playing with some toys and getting lots of little snacks. In the city below at this point, I imagine the residents at first might think it's an impending earthquake before looking up to see what's coming over the hill.

At least Dante has avoided being stepped on, even if he is panicking, which is a pity since he's missing out on a good close look at those giant feet in all their intricate detail, from the hard armoured scales on top to the softer layers of grey scales on the soles and the fine contrast of colouration, but I suppose if you think you'll get stepped on you can't really appreciate the aesthetic qualities.

What would be needed now would be a superhero, perhaps this moment of panic triggering Dante's latent powers of super strength and complete invulnerability, allowing him to succeed where the army had failed, finding that one soft spot on the sole of the kaiju's foot and bringing the beast down to earth with some good solid tickles.
