Hoo boy, this one almost never saw the light of day. I finally got back my mojo the other night and sketched out and photographed a picture that I saw in my head right as I awoke one morning. I was super motivated, so much so that vidya games and internet couldn't even distract me. And then... it almost went up in a puff of smoke. I had created several WIPs of the many versions of this picture I wrapped myself up with. And then backpedaled the program to re-save the project file. Then I closed Paint.net. But like a dummy, I forgot to uncombine all the layers (~30 or so) before saving it. So next time I went to go work on it... one layer. All of them. Gone. I cried. I had been inactive for a month and my big comeback was taken from me. But then a couple minutes later I remembered that two days prior I had accidentally duplicated the project file. At the time I didn't realize its importance and discarded it to the recycle bin, where it still was. I was able to use the old duplicate and the WIPs to reverse-engineer all of my lost progress in a matter of about 3 hours, and then I ended up finishing it just now, the very same day that the travesty happened. Had that duplicate not have existed, I would have given up. Probably just posted the WIP. So hooray!~ <3
