I like them when YOU use them. Don't get me wrong. Anyone else, I'd murderize them. I find when I want a texture, I'll take a photo of something random and destroy it in photoshop and use that for the texture, that way I don't just get lazy and use one, because it takes work. That way I KNOW that what I'm working on needs a texture.
