I really am fed up with how acrylic is almost too shiny to scan. Really is offputting.

Huh, I've never really had a problem scanning acrylics. The worst medium evar for scanning in my opinion is colored pencils. For some reason the way scanners do about their business always pulls blending apart visually when dealing with them. :O That being said, everything looks better in person than scanned.
This looks like it turned out pretty nicely, though!

Yeah, colored pencil is terrible. No matter how nice it looks it won't scan.
I'm not sure why my acrylics are so reflective. I blame the brand; they are Reeves, I hate reeves, but the price was right to try them, now that I know I actually like them I will probably get a set of Windsor & newton and some matte medium to solve this problem.
in person, these are so lovely and bright. I think you'll be really impressed when you get yours, I[m witholding it until I can do up your phnotos. I know I've been a lazy ass about them, I dont even have an excuse at this point. >.<

Huh, maybe yeah. I use pretty cheap acrylics too and never noticed the issue too profoundly, because I am le'cheap with art supplies whenever I can be. XD The intensity of the color always does diminish though, for sure. Alas, scanners, why can you not be all powerful?
It's okay! I know how things go sometimes, with some projects getting put on the back burner. I definitely am looking forward to seeing those photos though (they looked awesome even just right off your cam), and the piece in person. <333
