You saw him travel, but now he’s back in the studio for his official photos! Tamago is the first of the Koi Dogs, a concept I actually started sketching over ten years ago and have finally had the chance to bring fully to life. His coloration is based on the Shusui variety of Koi. Unlike the Flox, Koi Dogs don’t have a wire armature except in the tail. Instead, they’re built solid and adorably stocky out of 100% wool with Amazonite beads for eyes. Since Tamago is my prototype his collar features a handmade fried egg tag, but future Koi Dogs will have collars with stamped metal tags!
This doll is a prototype that I’ll be keeping, but future Koi Dogs will be available for sale. I also still have magnets and postcard prints in my shop!
