Trr'alv-fein, having grown up in a very large family setting in a much more crowded neighborhood of her birthplace & hometown of Ghendarr'takt-hekt, desired little more than to stand out against her older siblings whose accolades were many and varied. When her most beloved brother, Ttho'bra-fein, turned 20 (and she 4), he revealed his desire to go beyond their home-land and make it safer for them from thieves, vandals, monstrous beasts, and natural disasters by joining the Ebony Empire as a member of the Glass Swords, Onladas' local law & military enforcement; their parents expressed inexorable pride and they along with the rest of the clan wished him luck in his endeavors. In the years that followed, Trr'alv received letters in the mail from her dearest brother, detailing his exploits on his tours of active duty, making her laugh & cry, but mostly smile as she had begun developing a rapt interest in what the Glass Swords stood for at such a young age as 8 years old; eventually, come her 9th birthday, the letters had stopped coming after one final letter that detailed his excitement at being promoted to an Ebony-rank Noble Ghost as well as an assignment to storm a fortress in the Ral'hakth Plateau and she began to worry for him, as did the rest of the family. Sure enough, they would later receive news that he had been slain in battle, killed by a detachment of crack-shot snipers that just barely managed to put Ttho'bra's entire unit out of commission had it not been for the brave exploits of the Ghost Valkyries, whose trusty Steam Halberds provided them enough cover to escape. Trr'alv, like the rest of her family, mourned the loss of her brother, promising to the corpse in the open-casket that he would be avenged.
Later still, after a brief, unfulfilling occupation for roughly 4 years as a ranch-hand for the local Bull-Roach Ranch situated in Ghendarr'takt-hekt's country-side, and then turning 25 years old, Trr'alv went on her way to becoming a Glass Sword herself to carry on the legacy of Ttho'bra. Her parents were, at first, opposed to the idea, but knowing they would not be able to sway her from her stance on the matter, they wished her the best of luck and only asked she write to them every day that she could. Trr'alv wished her younger siblings the best before departing for her new life as a Glass Sword; she initially started as a Dune Stalker, assisting her comrades from the shadows and becoming a vital asset as their leading intelligence officer on the field. Before long, she would achieve Steam ranking in her chosen field, but in the time it took for her to reach said rank, she realized it wasn't the right position for her and she requested a re-class to Noble Ghost, the same position as her late brother. She felt it to be a far more natural fit (despite her comrades believing she would have made a far better assassin/spy than the typical soldier charging in to battle) and ascended through the ranks at a relatively swift pace.
During shore leave, after having turned 39 and being promoted to Glass ranking over a month ago, she found herself back home at Ghendarr'takt-hekt and was enjoying the company of her old acquaintances from the Academy, who had left to pursue a more easygoing family lifestyle, at the illustrious Levitating Market: a large, lush, lavish oasis heavily-populated with open-air market stalls and stores aplenty, and suspended above a subterranean expansion of the off-shore islet that comprised the other, smaller (yet no less bustling) half of Ghendarr'takt-hekt. However, disaster struck when a terrorist bombing attempt, to destroy the reinforced cables that kept the city from plummeting to the carved-out cavernous complex below, failed, killing 9 people and injuring over 30 more, including Trr'alv, who had been instantly knocked unconscious from the explosion and lost her legs; her family feared the worst and asked doctors if she would survive. They were informed that Trr'alv had fallen in to a coma due to the severity of the damage that had been inflicted upon her body and that she was lucky to have survived, but that they would monitor her progress to see if/when she would come out of her coma.
Nearly two whole years pass by, and Trr'alv finally awakens, the doctors having managed to create a new pair of legs as she slept, and warned her family she would need to be kept for a while for physical therapy, that her brain would have to have time to readjust to having a new set of legs to work with. Several weeks later, she would hear news that, due to being unable to perform her duties, she had been dismissed from the Glass Swords; deeply saddened by how far she had fallen, she didn't even care when news of a Stellar Federation having become allies with the Ebony Empire hit the airwaves and the streets. It did, however, give her the idea to leave Onladas, and so she filed a request to be allowed on to a commercial Starliner to venture to the stars beyond her own Aprakhet Quadrant; the doctors, as well as her family, agreed, only on the condition she attend mandatory physical therapy sessions whilst onboard. Naturally, she complied, and was off to explore the galaxy beyond and leave her pain of failure behind.
Little over three weeks in to her voyage, their ship wound up being raided by a band of space pirates of races unfamiliar to them, but a passing alien ship quickly dispatched them and brought the passengers onboard after announcing they were A. Stellar Federation and B. would escort them to the nearest available Starbase. In the weeks she had spent onboard the cruise ship before being transferred aboard what the dreadnaught's crew referred to as 'the F.S.S. Hresvelgr', she had heard of a planet in Federation Space known as Chakona; curious about this paradise, she requested to be brought there, to which the ship's Fleet Admiral, a Chakat Sandshear, informed her that her and the other passengers looking to be transferred there would be brought aboard the Science Ship, Eurydice, as it was heading back that way for a crew rotation.
It was there aboard that ship where she met Mar'nakth-dd-shul, a very charming, kind, sincere X'hyrok-hh male who turned out to be a Medical Officer for the ship; the two would get to know each other quite intimately in the time before the Eurydice would arrive at the Chakona Orbital Gateway, even going so far as to explore each other's bodies on a couple of occasions. Before arriving at Chakona, Trr'alv would be introduced to Snowrose, the Family that Mar'nakth has become an inseparable part of, and would learn they were quite the pleasant people, and that this wasn't even everyone...that the rest were back at home on a continent called Berdoovia. After being invited in to their home, Mar'nakth helped introduce her to everyone and settle her in, making her feel as comfortable as possible. Before long, after Trr'alv turned 42, Mar'nakth expressed an interest in sharing a child with her, one which she reciprocated with equal, if not greater, warmth & excitement, and sure enough, upon turning 43, her beloved Ish'va-fein, a rare hermaphrodite X'hyrok-hh child, was born in to the world, all thanks to the love she shared with Mar'nakth.
Fun little fact: Male X'hyrok-aa have their whiskers located on their cheeks whereas the females of their race have the whiskers located closer to their nose; as for herms, the whiskers can be in either position, or in some rare cases, a birth defect will place a whisker nearer to the nose AND at the cheek. Originally, the reason was I failed to notice several times that Trr'alv's whiskers were further up her face than they should have been, but I decided to keep it in as a sort of "gender difference" of the species, not too dissimilar to the likes of certain species of Pokemon. Anyway...
