Based off of Maratus personatus to be exact. Got as close as I could within fabric limitations. All markings are 100% handsewn in, no airbrushing occurred in this one.
All of his legs are posable allowing the owner/wearer to make sure his legs are poised to cling to their back. A hidden zipper is in his abdomen to carry the hotel key and car keys. A rather small compartment on this fellow, as he's meant to be more of a show piece toted around than a carry-all! Made with high quality faux furs, different sized safety eyes, nylon, and cotton.

If this were high-school me I'd so buy one, I brought a plush backpack with me to school and everywhere from middle school through college, alas 30+ me would have no use, like dang I want one tho, love fuzzy spiders like heck and this is so perfectly done, but it'd just sit here and be an expensive dust collector ;3;
My apologies! I typed that when I was slightly exhausted after work.
((I gotta remember to proof-read what I'm typing, oml I'm so sorry!))
- How much would a spider backpack with a larger hidden abdomen compartment be?
&
- Would you be up to a design based on a particular species of arboreal bird spider (Poecilotheria metallica)?

No worries!
It depends on how large a compartment you'd like it to have, as larger compartment could mean distorting the proportions of the plush. You could have an additional compartment if you went without the armature for the legs, as that would free up the thorax.
I could certainly do one for Poecilotheria metallica (I've had a few emails asking for this species, just waiting on one to place their deposit before it's official) Though it would be rather costly as the patterning on this beautiful tarantula is as stunning as it is complex.
