Project Necrodroid was an idea that had been greenlit by General Grievous and Wat Tambor as a terror weapon against the Republic. After the CIS would win a battle, they would release waves of nanodroids onto the battlefield that would infect the bodies of any dead clones they came across, reanimating the dead tissue and turning these once brave Republic soldiers into forces for the CIS. The resulting corpse droids retained their combat skills but had no memories of who they had been when alive.
