My entry for Dittin's contest. =3
I rushed this all day thinking it was due... tonight. Apparently I was a day ahead of myself and dittin is most likely thinking... Er? Rose is going crazy now? XD I feel like it with the photoshop, and computer fighting me during this entire thing. It was very tiring. I freaked when I thought I didn't have enough time to enter it because my computer started to go on the fretz again. Buut. lol OH well I'll be doing updates and will update my description for it as well. =3 Since I have the time to do it.
I listened to alot of different songs while I created this piece, even despite my rambling along the way when things didn't work the way I wanted them to.
Basically it started off with the feather its self. The tiger there represents the current day me. Most of you know her as Rose. In this I finally decided to give her a snow scene, her 'natural' environment. Inspired with the theme of winter. I miss romping in the snow. Anyway next would be the 'background.' Its a picture within a picture. The background is a ' paint dab' representation of my fireplace, and another painting within. That would be the painting of the mountains I have going on there in the back. That one is actually mine. XD Besides the easel you'd have my autumn wreath for Autumn. Autumn is actually my favorite season, not too cold and not too hot.
My spiritual influence is water... The water gently laps at the edges of rock, much like the ocean. Course tide has came in and has taken away the two paint brushes... Oh no! Either way they're drifting off and the paint slowly seeps into the water, cascading a beautiful display of colors upon the waters surface.
Rose is content, resting in the cool weather after a snowfall. Her emerald orbs gazing off into the distance as if she could see the ocean so near her. One would assume she could smell the bountiful amount of sea salt within the air.
The radiance of the colors of autumn, and the mountains lingering within the distance.
The rock gives a solid foundation, and the metal work represents that which we create.
That particular one has been in my family for some time, and was created by one of my elders.
Despite where I am my imagination is like this; I take it wherever I am.
