[edit] I adjusted the contrast and uploaded a larger image with a smaller watermark. Man, what a little adjustment will do...
[edit 2] Alright, adjusted everything ever so slightly again. I promise I'm done messing with it, it just looked so bland to me! XD
I had to take a break from my job to meet a preexisting deadline for the Rare2010 calendar, and this is my piece! Rare2010 is a calendar of rare anthro animals, with particpating artists Alector Fencer, Ashalind, Balaa, Charreed, Heather Bruton, Mondeis, Nimrais, Qzurr, Sekhmet, Synnabar, Wolf Wind and myself. You can check out other work and more info here: http://www.ashalind.com/anthrocalendar/
My piece depicts Indian Wild Dog, also called Dholes. I couldn't resist that red fur color! =D
If you want to preorder a calendar from me, please check out the link below for purchasing info! I'd appreciate any preorders, especially since I'm moving on Monday and have lots of "new apartment" expenses. <3

i was almost sure you were going to make a traditional piece for the calendar =P
I feel so lonely in the sea of digi-arts, haha.
Great process though. Interesting how you did a grayscale base and then colored on top in photoshop. i might have to try that sometime.
and of course, i had already mentioned how i like the sense of depth in the image. :)
nice work, as usual.

believe it or not, there was a town, or a town site anyway, called red dog, less then twenty miles from where i grew up, near colfax, in the sierra's in norther california.
everyone used to get a kick out of the sign for the road because of the sequence of place names on it: you bet, red dog, cammel's hump.
