Hello everyone!
Some of you know that I was in a big emergency this week end.
Two months ago, Noctis did goes to the emergency since his urinary system was blocked. Blood test and urinary tests leaded on calculus, urinary infection and were really bad.
He goes through it like a champion.
Last week, as I was feeding the cats, I called him. He showed up after ten minutes, screaming in pain and crying for my help. I did understood in the minute that his urinary system was blocked back. Panic.
I wanted to go to my second veterinary who was closed, since it's an emergency I took him at my local veterinarian who later in the day told me I was right : He was blocked.
I got screamed at because they told me it was MY fault, that I wasn't feeding him correctly... Details are awkward. Though I asked them to take him home for the Week End in order to not pay the three days vet care. So I did took care of the urinary catheter all by myself , didn't slept much... But on Monday he was all ok and we took the catheter Out.
I then tried to ask questions : Noctis is ONLY 1 year old, even if I gave him the worst food ever he should NEVER as gone blocked twice in 2 months. That's my point. (plus I give my pets the best food they need... ) Obviously the vet didn't wanted to hear me until the time I talked about the testicle that never showed up? Asking if it could block the urinary system and develop calculus.
Luckily I acted fast, his blood is good and the infection got covered. Good point at least!
I got a "maybe, yes." Well. I was supposed to take him to the surgeon on the month so when he will be strong enough I'll do that.
I'll ask my other vet his word, he is a really different vet so I need to hear him... Until now, he is the only one who loved a problem on another of your cats where everybody else failed.
SO FOR NOW :
Both the vet bills are now up to 750 Euros.
That is enormous.
I already paid 200 Euros. They testicle surgery will be up to 150 Euros as well.
So I opened, for once, a donation poll.

The donation poll is set up to 650 which include the surgery to come and the second vet visit (which will be way lower than casual vet price, the man is really different. If he can do the surgery, I'll lower the goal! )
If, by my bad luck, the testicle wasn't the reason, trust me. I'll do everything I can in order to save Noctis from anything.
If you can't donate, but can share to your friends, watchers, that may need a doodle in order to help me with my precious Noctis, please, do it.
If you can't donate much, PLEASE know that even 1 euros is important, even 1 euros will be rewarded. As you can see some already gave small amounts BUT many small amount lead to a big victory!
So please, for Noctis, if you can do something, I would be forever thankful to any of you that may help us. Noctis got an hard life, tail was broken by an unknown human as a kitten, he lived in the road with his brother until we adopted them both, he now goes through this... I just want him to live with us for a long time and in a good health condition.
(If you ask ; y-in any case I will pay. I will pay for everything needed, yes (even if it take me time and if it makes the vet angry.). But help is welcome as the amount asked by the vet is more that gigantic and actually stop us from saving any other animal in this bad period for abandons... )

We are not 100% sure. Thought it's the most possible thing yes. Testicles that don't drop down need to be took off before the age of 2 because they can turn into tumor since the body may try to reject them (it's more complex but my English is a barrier to explain) ; here it's supposingly blocking the urinal conduct , which cause the "body garbage" to be held in and cause damage.
On aged cats, food (kibbles and wet industrial) are the most common reasons of calculus and urinal problems, but noctis is on a raw food diet (organises for the problem he have so, less bones, more fat and no red meat or fishes) and he is One year old. So yes, the most logical thing is that the testicle is causing damages :/ (it can come for manyyyyy reasons though. That's why I need a second vet to check him. Though he will be neutered in order to take off his testicle, it was supposed to be done at the end of the month :/ )

Ah well i hope the second vet can figure the problem out. It took us 2 vets till we went to the one in our petsmart ( banfield hospital ) who at the time looked at our cat for free, found it was one of the testicles not dropping, got em operated to remove it and done. Our cat been good since then. So many luck that thats your problem so that it can be dealt with easier instead of trying to figure out what causing it ^^
Urinary infections and crystals in the bladder are very common in male cats. I've had several male cats in my life that have gone through this. Even with special prescription food, more urinary infections are possible. Some males are just more susceptible to them than others, unfortunately. :(
I hope Noctis gets better, and you can find a solution so that he doesn't get more infections. :3

Urinary problems come on cats mostly because of industrial pet food (kibbles and wet pet food), all our pets are (and will stay) on a raw feeding diet ; then urinary diseases are; if not unknown ; way more rare!
It's exceptional to have one with a one year old cat, so the reason need tonne searched deeper (genetical ? Tumor? This Damn testicle that never dropped down?) ; right now he will (once healthy enough in two/three weeks) , go under surgery to neuter him and take off the testicle which is at 80% the reason of the calculus (compression of the urinal apparel, blocking him and making him unable to pee correctly and fully ; it's something I can see when he go in the litter (he is turning several times instead of one :/)
So we hope it will solve the problem! I wait for a second vet word cause the man is quite different. He is used to work with wild fauna in affica, so his approach is FAR AWAY from the casual one which say "go under urinary diet pet food" which is not a way to solve anything by my opinion xX

If it can ease, Noctis is being alright right now and living happily with our others pets ^.^ He needs a month before going into the surgery in order to let his body being healthy again I can't make him go under anesthesia until then ^-^
